Zereyad Group Transit & Forwarding plc is a family-owned company where Mr. Dawit Melaku is a major shareholder and the Managing Director. The other shareholder of Zereyad is Mr. Yidnekachew Melaku, who is now studying for his MSC in the USA.
Zereyad has extensive experience in customs clearing and freight forwarding. Established since 2004. Zereyad is recognized internationally and is able to help our international clients with their door-to-door projects with efficient and reliable services.
Its head office is housed inside the Robel Plaza building, 5th floor, Room number 505, located around Bole area, in front of Harmony hotel, and our second location is located around Meskel Square area, in the CETU Building, 3rd floor, Room number 307.
Zereyad has employed over 30 highly motivated, dedicated and talented professionals to serve clients efficiently.
Zereyad use computerized technology to provide information to clients and perform its daily activities. Follow -ups to day to day operations are fully computerized to ensure that documents received from our clients are processed with in the minimum required clearing period.
Duty is calculated by specially designed software which has a built in harmonized system (HS) codes that checks and traces errors in coding customs tariffs, calculate duty and print declaration as per the percentage stated in the National Customs Tariff Book.

Mr. Dawit Melaku
Managing Director
Mr Dawit Melaku holds Diploma in marketing and BA degree in Business Administration and information science. He is the founder and current Managing Director of the company. He has been specially trained in shipping and freight forwarding and customs clearing training sessions, organized by Ministry of transport and communication bureau , Ethiopia Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) Ethiopia Maritime and Transit Service Enterprise (MTSE).
Mr. Wubshet Wogayehu
General Manager/Operations Supervisor
Mr. Wubshet has BA in management with over 25 years’ experience in the shipping and forwarding industry. He is in charge of all operational matters of the organization.. He particularly handles price quotation for clients, invoice and payment follow up. He has been specially trained in customs clearing and shipping and freight forwarding, a training session organized by ERCA and MTSE.
Mr. Mulatu Antalew
Human Resource Manager
Mr. Mulatu Antalew is a graduate with a B.A. degree in management and has been in the freight forwarding sector for the past 20 years, working with Zereyad for the last 5 years.
As proof of our expertise, the Zereyad management team got the best scores in the evaluation in a course that was given by Ethiopian customs Authority and Ethiopian Maritime and transit Enterprise (M.T.S.E.) regarding customs procedures, shipping and forwarding activities.
